Therapy for adults

Using evidence-based psychodynamic interventions, I work with neurodivergent adults to navigate life transitions and manage anxiety, stress, and depression. As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I do not believe these conditions should be “cured.” Instead I treat the stresses that accompany living in an often invalidating or non-accommodating world. My approach involves examining psychological drives and forces that underlie behavior with the goal of gaining a better understanding of the self. In the process, patients gain self-confidence and develop better ways of relating to people. Keeping in mind the unique experiences of neurodivergence, special attention is paid to how one’s strengths and weaknesses have contributed to their present experiences.

My clinical focus lies in the following:

  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder, learning and communication difficulties

  • Major depression, dysthymia, adjustment disorder

  • Generalized anxiety disorder

Psychological testing

Maybe you are here because your child’s school recommended an evaluation, or perhaps you are an adult who feels that something is “off,” and wants to understand themself better.

I conduct neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments to identify learning disabilities, attentional and impulse control issues, emotional problems, and adjustment difficulties that interfere with your ability to perform to your potential.

Following the evaluation, I make specific, individualized recommendations for treatment and classroom accommodations, as necessary.
